These tips are written for your last moments of summer break, but they are great for refreshing your mind on a weekend during the school year as well. Reserve some time to complete some of these ideas, and you'll feel a lot more energized at school.
ONE - Clean and organize your room. Although cleaning or doing other chores is probably the last thing you want to do in your last days of summer, it can make a world of a difference in your school lifestyle. Even if the cleanliness and organization doesn't last that long, a less cluttered space (especially workspace, such as desk), can lead to a less cluttered mind. Just think: in your first month or so of school, your mind will be off of your room, and focused on your friends and schoolwork.
TWO - Wash all of your dirty laundry. Here's another chore that most people probably don't want to be doing in their last few moments of summer break. However, I'm saving the more exciting tips for last, so bear with me. Whether you have one load to wash, or several, get it over with before the school week starts. This may seem terrible while you're washing all of the laundry, but think: you'll have all of the clothes you own to build outfits with and wear during school.
THREE - Decorate and personalize your supplies. This can be very fun to do, whether you're just wrapping your pencils in washi tape, inserting patterned paper into your binders, or making your own pencil case. Having supplies that reflect your personality can really help motivate you to work at school.
FOUR - Get sleep in on the night before school. Even though we're inclined to stay up very late during the summer, this can be a big problem during the school year. Don't pull an all-nighter on a Sunday night, take your time to relax and try to get at least eight hours of sleep before school starts. This can really help with your awareness in class, as well as waking up on time.
FIVE - Do what you love in your last days of summer. School can get very busy very quickly, and it's easy to forget to do the things that you love. Even if you've already started school, chances are the weather's still nice outside. So take a weekend when you have minimal homework, and enjoy it with your friends, or doing hobbies and other fun activities.
